Privacy Policy
This policy explains how MYN Labs collects, uses, shares, protects, retains, and otherwise handles personal information in connection with FSI and related services.
1. Scope And Controller Context
This Privacy Policy applies to MYN Labs websites, product pages, account creation flows, applications, reports, exports, support interactions, and related services that link to or reference this policy. In this document, MYN Labs describes how it collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information in connection with FSI.
FSI is offered as financial wellness and resilience analytics software. Where mandatory local law grants you additional rights or requires additional disclosures, those local rules supplement this policy and control to the extent of any conflict.
2. How To Contact Us
For privacy questions, data rights requests, complaints, or security concerns related to personal information, contact hello@mynlabs.com.
3. Categories Of Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect account registration details, profile details, contact information, communication preferences, assessment responses, financial profile inputs, simulator inputs, report history, reminder settings, support messages, and other information you choose to submit.
We may also collect technical and usage information such as device type, browser type, operating system, timestamps, approximate location inferred from IP or locale settings, authentication events, product interaction events, cookie identifiers, local storage data, and diagnostic information needed for performance, reliability, and security.
4. Financial And Potentially Sensitive Information
Assessment responses may reveal information about your income, assets, liabilities, expenses, debt-service burden, cash runway, household structure, financial stress, or similar indicators. We treat that information as sensitive in nature even when local law does not assign a special statutory label to it.
We use this information to deliver the service, preserve account state, generate analytics outputs, monitor quality, prevent abuse, maintain internal records, and create aggregated or de-identified insights where permitted by law and where reasonable safeguards are applied.
5. Sources Of Information
We collect information directly from you when you register, sign in, complete assessments, update your workspace, contact support, respond to communications, or otherwise interact with the product. We also collect information automatically from your browser, device, and session when you use the website or application.
In limited cases, we may receive information from vendors or service providers that help us operate the product.
6. How We Use Information
We use personal information to create and maintain accounts, authenticate users, preserve workspace state, generate scores and explanations, operate dashboards and reminders, deliver exports and reports, troubleshoot issues, monitor performance, detect abuse, maintain security, comply with law, and communicate with users.
We may also use information for internal product analysis, testing, quality assurance, feature measurement, and model tuning. Where possible and appropriate, we use aggregated, de-identified, or minimized data for those purposes.
7. Legal Bases Where Required
Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, MYN Labs may rely on contract performance, legitimate interests, consent, and compliance with legal obligations. The precise legal basis can vary depending on the data involved, the jurisdiction, the feature you use, and the purpose of processing.
8. Automated Processing Notice
FSI uses automated processing to generate financial wellness and resilience analytics such as scores, classifications, narratives, trends, reminders, scenario outputs, and report content. Those outputs are intended to support self-directed planning and understanding of financial posture.
FSI is not designed or offered to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects regarding employment, housing, credit, insurance, education, government benefits, immigration, healthcare, or access to essential services.
9. No Sale, No Consumer Reporting, And Restricted Commercial Use
MYN Labs does not sell user-level personal financial inputs as a data broker or consumer reporting business. We do not operate FSI as a lender, insurer, underwriting engine, consumer report, or credit bureau product.
We may share data with service providers that process information on our behalf, and we may disclose information in corporate transactions or where law requires.
10. Cookies, Local Storage, And Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, pixels, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, preserve drafts and workspace state, remember preferences, analyze performance, understand feature usage, measure communication delivery, and protect the service from abuse or fraud.
Disabling certain technologies may reduce functionality, log you out, interfere with reminders, or prevent parts of the service from operating correctly.
11. Disclosure To Vendors And Other Recipients
We may disclose personal information to hosting, cloud, storage, analytics, monitoring, communications, customer support, security, authentication, payment, legal, compliance, and other vendors that process information on our behalf under appropriate restrictions.
We may also disclose information to affiliates involved in operating the service, to professional advisers, to law enforcement or regulators where required, to protect rights or safety, to investigate abuse, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, asset sale, restructuring, or similar transaction.
12. International Transfers
Your information may be processed or stored in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as contractual protections, access controls, and data-minimization measures.
13. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain your account, provide history and reminders, preserve auditability, monitor abuse, investigate incidents, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain backup and recovery systems.
Some data may persist in logs, backups, or de-identified datasets for a period after account closure.
14. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information, including access controls, authentication measures, password standards, transport protections, environment controls, audit logging, and least-privilege practices appropriate to the service.
No service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using a strong unique password, securing your devices, protecting your email account, and notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
15. Your Rights And Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, information about automated processing, or appeal of a denied privacy request. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions, verification requirements, and technical feasibility.
For rights requests that require manual review, contact hello@mynlabs.com. We may need to verify your identity or authority before completing a request.
16. Region-Specific Rights
Users in the EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions may have rights related to lawful basis, objection, restriction, portability, and complaints to a supervisory authority. Users in California and certain United States jurisdictions may have rights related to knowing, accessing, correcting, deleting, and appealing certain decisions about the use of personal information, subject to statutory scope and exceptions.
Users in Brazil, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Nigeria, and other jurisdictions may have comparable rights under local law. Where local law grants broader rights than this policy states, MYN Labs will honor those rights to the extent required by law.
17. Communications Preferences
We may send service messages, security alerts, legal notices, reminders, product notices, and other communications connected to your use of the service. Some communications are necessary for the product and may continue even if you opt out of optional marketing messages.
18. Children And Household Information
The service is not intended for children. If you use household planning features or enter information relating to another person, you are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right and appropriate permission to do so.
19. Third-Party Sites And Embedded Services
The service may link to or rely on third-party websites, embedded services, or infrastructure. Those third parties control their own privacy practices, and their policies govern how they handle information collected through their own services.
20. Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, security practices, or operational changes. The current version will be posted with an updated effective date.
Material changes may be highlighted through the website, product notices, email, or other channels where appropriate.
21. UK, Australia, United States, And India Privacy Notices
United Kingdom: MYN Labs aims to provide UK users with transparency around controller identity, processing purposes, lawful basis, retention, transfer safeguards, and rights to access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability where applicable. UK users may also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Australia: For Australian users, MYN Labs seeks to align its privacy handling with the Australian Privacy Principles, including notice, use and disclosure controls, overseas disclosure considerations, security, access, correction, and complaint handling. To the extent the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies, Indian users retain the rights and remedies available to them under that law and any implementing rules.
